Edgewater's small town feel within an arms reach of big city life is one of the best parts about our town. To keep this balance, we face growth we have to prepare for now. As your City Council representative, I'll make sure you have a seat at the table when planning our growth, as well as advance measures to promote success and healthy relationships between businesses and the community.
Our community is safer when police and citizens work together to promote trust, collaboration, and criminal justice reform that works for our town. I'm proud of the work Edgewater's police force has done to expand community policing, and I'll continue to champion these efforts as your City Council representative.
Everyday, I'm reminded of the natural beauty we're lucky enough to share in Colorado. I want to preserve and protect our world starting at home, so our children and their children can enjoy the same experiences and clean air we enjoy. I will promote policy aimed at cutting our footprint, and preserving our earth for generations to come.
20th and Depew
It's getting developed. The current council has proposals, and I plan on seeing through the development of 20th and Depew into a beautiful area for our community to shop, eat, and be with family while generating sales tax for our police and city services.
Everyone deserves an equal opportunity to live their life how they see fit. That's why I'm a feminist, an advocate for people of color, working with organizations to provide equal opportunity to everyone. It's why as a 9 year old child, I stood before a state legislature to fight against LGBTQ discrimination, and never stopped fighting for those discriminated against. I'll fight for your right to live your life, however you live it.
Commitment to YOU
The privilege of being your city council member is not something to be taken lightly. That's why my focus is on being your voice. I promise to listen, to open my inbox, phone, and ears to you and the ideas you have for your community. As your representative, I promise to represent you and fight for what matters most to you.
Admittedly, this is tough in Edgewater. We're fairly small. What we can do, is work to keep long term residents in their homes and advocate for affordable housing whenever a practical chance arrives in front of council.
